Before The Somberlain tore through the blackened void, Dissection first spread their name through the underground with The Grief Prophecy demo — a raw, ritualistic recording that carried the early frost of Swedish darkness.
Released in 1990, this demo became a cornerstone of the Scandinavian underground. Tracks like “Severed Into Shreds” and “Frozen” mix early death metal aggression with the cold melodies that would later define Dissection’s sound
